How to Get Upcoming Trees From Mystery Seedlings in Farmville

Getting mystery seedlings to turn into the upcoming trees before they are officially released in the Farmville market can be tricky.  In fact, I exchanged seedlings with several of my neighbors in the pursuit of discovering a pattern, which governs what the seedling would turn into.  Though, we were not successful in finding a definitive answer to how to determine what will come from a seedling, we did discover patterns that gave us clues about how to get the next new tree before it was released.  One thing we noticed was that seedlings usually turn into a mix of trees including regular trees and newish trees that hit the market a week or month beforehand.  Newer or newish trees seem to come more often from seedlings from orchards full of the most recently released trees. Furthermore, Farmville is very predictable and releases a new tree almost every week.

Taking these observations into account, here are some ways you can increase your chances of getting the new tree before it comes out in the market.

1. Seedlings are more likely to turn into the unreleased tree before any mention of its sighting hits the FV news.  For this reason, it is best to start grabbing and watering mystery seedlings four days to a week after the release of a new tree since you know a new tree is on the way. 
2.  On several occasions, I’ve gotten the unreleased trees from seedlings that came from an orchard with the new type of tree.  Do not wait for these opportunities, but definitely grab the seedling if you’re neighbor has announced the seedling came from orchards full of the new type of tree. 
3.  If all else fails, persistence is the last bit of advice I have.  If you try five or ten seedlings and get nothing, keep trying.  Most of my neighbors say they got their tree from trying early or from trying over and over. 

Though FV is constantly changing things, this is the current trend and what works best.  So grab seedlings early, grab good seedlings and keep grabbing them until you get the new tree.  Good luck!
