For those of you wondering how to get a Ram in Farmville, there are several methods that you can use to obtain your first Ram. In addition to sharing this information with you, I will also share information on breeding once you have your first one.
Obtaining your First Ram
1. You are probably already aware that you can buy a Ram in the Marketplace but this will cost you farm cash.
2. If you don't want to spend farm cash, you can always finish the Farmville quests in the top left-hand corner of your screen. This first set of quests will give you a Ram called Brutus which is a violet blue color and has the hooded design.
3. Finally, you can ask one of your neighbors to send you a boy lamb. Once you have this boy lamb, you can place him on your farm and grow him up. Once he is grown, you will be ready to bread.
Tips for Breeding Rams
Once you have your first Ram, you may want to breed more Rams. Fortunately Farmville just changed the formula for how often you get a Ram in order to make the process random. Though FV's official statement that gender selection is random, I still find that you will have a higher chance of breeding a boy lamb if you choose the Ram first and then the Ewe when breeding. Another good thing to know is that the design of your sheep is bread through the Ram. So even if you have one Ram, you are going to want to get others so that you can breed the different sheep designs. The Sheep designs to date are Polka dot, Hooded, Belted, Star, Camo, and single color. So be sure to ask your friends to send you the different types of Ram so you can breeding the different designs.
