Farmville Official Statement: Illegal Sheep Pardoned

Though rumors have been circulating among Farmville Players that Farmville will be removing the so called, "illegal" sheep from the farms of players, you can rest assured that your sheep are safe and that FV will not take them.  On 4/14/2011, Farmville released an official statement about the existence of the illegal sheep.  FV clearly expressed that most players are likely to have obtained the unreleased sheep designs and colors by legitimate means.  They also indicated that they were unaware of how someone was able to hacked the unreleased design codes and that it would be somewhat impossible to determine whether or not someone had used a hack to placed an illegal sheep on their farm.

Furthermore, Farmville's announcement indicated that the source of the illegal sheep has been stopped so hackers will no longer be able to produce new types of sheep and place them on their farms.  The announcement also stressed that, FV recognizes the innocence of the masses in this issue and will not punish regular players by taking the offspring of these illegal sheep. So rest assured, you can keep all of your beauties and continue to breed them.  However, since FV has patched the source of the illegal sheep, you should not expect to see any new types of sheep mysteriously appear until FV has officially released them.
